Based on some of the reviews, I ordered an XS instead of a S. Being that it's a stretch material, lots of people could probably fit in one of two sizes. The XS fits me probably slightly more snugly than a pair of bike shorts really should, but not uncomfortably so. If I put on five pounds it might be another story. For reference, I'm 5'6", 120lb, pretty evenly proportioned. I usually wear a size 2 in grown ladies' sizes, 25-27 in jeans.Quality-wise, seems acceptable, but I've only washed them a few times so far. They're not incredibly padded, so they're a bit more flattering than other shorts I've owned, but somewhat less effective at their purpose as well. They've treated me fine on Florida trails and on road for rides under 40 miles. The lack of rubber/sticky strip on the leg I like, but some people might not. These are great shorts. I like the thick waist band so that it's not too tight in any one area, causing for an exaggerated love handle spectacle. I always wear them over work out leggings so I don't know whether or not they would chafe at the ends. I'm 5'6" 127 lbs with curves/wide hips and I'd say these fit perfectly in Medium. In terms of comfort, I don't have any other shorts to compare them to but I don't know if there are any shorts out there that could keep my bum from hurting after a 20-30 mile bike ride. But they're better than nothing! This is my first pair of padded bike shorts, so I wasn't really sure what to expect. I'm 5'4" and 135 lbs and the medium fits me fine, maybe a little looser than I expected, but not enough to ride up while mountain biking. I didn't feel that the padding made that much of a difference for me though. Maybe my seat was already comfortable enough, or maybe I am used to raising myself off the seat when I ride over rocks/roots so the padding becomes mostly irrelevant. Either way, I don't have any complaints. They fit and they are comfortable, so I'm happy with them.Nice shorts. I bought a size larger than I normally do, knowing that Pearl Izumi usually is a smaller euro fit, and I was worried that the band around the thigh would be tight. I didn't need to however. These shorts are a comfortable, roomy stretch material with a thick chamois that is perfect for 2+ hours in the saddle. I like the reflective logo. I would purchase again, but order true to size. They were super comfortable but the grip less bottom rides up after a while and was a little annoying. The chammy was really nice & the drawstring was good to tighten since they were a little big on me. Just need the normal gripper on side & would be perfect!I am 5'6", 130-135 pounds, slender. I am size 26-27 on jeans. Size 2 on pants. Size S or XS on leggings and sweatpants. I purchased this shorts on a size S, and I am glad I did, they fit PERFECT. I LOVE THEM ! Exactly what I was looking for: comfortable, NO LEG GRIPPERS (allergic to silicone ), not too short, perfect length, not low rise, it covers very well and it is very flattering. Great item, great price. Hope this help.fits true to size. I purchased a small hoping they wouldn't be too snug. They are a good fit. Like that they are not as long as other shorts I have. Being I am only 5ft, I appreciate that. Padding is adequate for a 2 hour ride.I liked them so much I purchased them in another color, and one for a friend too. Couldn't beat the price!I have two pairs of these shorts, and they work well for my needs. I take spin class 1-2 times a week and bike as much as I can in warm weather. They're not too short so that your upper inner thigh won't rub on the bike seat and the elastic at the bottom of the legs is not too tightMe gusto el producto pues la calidad y los colores estan pasdrisimos, es un buen producto a un buen precio.
